Zimbabwe

I am leaving today for Zimbabwe Africa for the next three weeks. I would really appreciate your prayers! I will have many stories for my blog when I get back. Thanks for all the support!

Today we woke up bright and early, 4am to be exact, we cleaned the apartment and left our extra food and children's gifts for Karen then we met Kurlean at the bus.

Going through customs was easy both in Grenada and Puetro Rico.
"Citizenship?"
"US"

"Any Food?"
"No"
a lie that I instantly felt bad about when I realized I did have a bag of Karen's coconut cakes stashed in my backpack.
"have a nice day"

We spent the day in the dry hot heat of San Juan, snaking in and out of art galleries and tacky tourist shops. Then we rejoiced "Thank you Jesus!" as a taxi pulled up right when we had decided we had enough.

Now we are on the flight home. American Airlines, and just as with any great trip, I had a blast but I am egar to get back to work. I can't wait to report my findings about the Deaf in Grenada; which is that they are much more margenilized that they are in the states. That says a lot. Maybe a future Deaf missions site in the making, we will see.

Thank you God for this mountain top experience complete with a rainbow over the ocean, black sand, and puppies. Help me prepare for Zimbabwe and the adventures to come. Amen.
